I’m Russell Clare, a software engineer and SRE based in the UK with a background in consulting and large-scale platform reliability.

I’ve spent the better part of my career keeping complex systems running at scale – distributed infrastructure, incident response, the unglamorous work that makes everything else possible. These days that intersects heavily with AI: how it changes the way we build, operate, and think about software.

This site is where I write about those things. The posts are living documents – updated regularly as the landscape shifts, not frozen at the moment I first hit publish.
